Can you help me?

To show some important visitors how I use mine and the pupils’ wider network to help and engage my pupils, I’m asking a BIG favour! Please could you spare 2 minutes and write a few sentences about whether Zoos are good or bad? I have left an example on the PrimaryPad but it would really add a GLOBAL dimension to the lesson if it could include people from mine and the pupils’ network. If you can’t see the whole window, please us THIS LINK.

Thank you!

What an excellent idea – but then that’s not surprising coming from Mr Mitchell!

I live in Chester. Has anyone from your class been to Chester Zoo? I am not really sure what I think of zoos, I think that the conservation side of them is fantastic and I know that Chester Zoo does a lots to help preserve endangered species. I also think that it is wonderful that we can see different animals up and close (including creepy crawlies and bats!!) It does make me sad though when you see big animals like tigers and lions out of their natural environment, to me they look bored, they are not doing what they are designed to do in the wild. Hope you enjoy your writing and look forward to reading the results!

I will be very interested to see what your views are about zoos – remember that you need to find a range of views to reflect on before making your mind up. It is an emotional issue and not as simple as it perhaps looks. I know, having read your other pieces of work, that you will do this and look forward to seeing them.
